Your privacy matters to us. Here's exactly how Tail Track handles your data.
When you create a Tail Track account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you add a dog profile, we collect your dog's name, breed, age, and any other details you choose to provide. We also collect the training logs, session notes, goals, and behavioral records you enter into the app. Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and usage timestamps are also recorded.
We use your information solely to provide and improve the Tail Track service. This includes displaying your training history and progress, enabling trainer connections you initiate, sending transactional emails such as account confirmations and password resets, and improving app performance and features. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell your personal information to third parties under any circumstances.
If you choose to connect with a trainer through Tail Track, that trainer will be able to view your training logs and session notes for the duration of your connection. You can disconnect from a trainer at any time, at which point they will no longer have access to your data. Trainers are bound by our platform policies and may not export or misuse client data.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with row-level security policies that ensure only you and authorized users can access your records. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. While we take security seriously, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against all threats.
Tail Track uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how users interact with the app in aggregate. These tools do not track you across other websites and do not identify you personally.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your profile information directly in the app. To request full account deletion including all associated data, contact us at hello@tailtrack.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Tail Track is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect when the policy was last updated.
